Can U Download Pics When S7 Edge Phone Is Off

I need help locating photos I downloaded directly from Google Images. Whenever I tap and hold on an image from a Google search result, I get the selection to download it, but I don't get to choose where or how. The only fourth dimension I can view the images I download is when I click the notification that it has finished downloading. The data tab of the prototype states it isn't located in any binder on my phone, so it just disappears while all the same eating upwards infinite. After that, I tin can never find the image again.
I've tried looking at my Google Drive, enabling hidden folders and files, updating my phone, and using a third-political party file scanning app, but nada is helping. I know that these images are eating upwards valuable storage space as my gratuitous storage is slowly decreasing with the more images I download. I don't want to have to wipe my flash drive and get it all back. That would be also much of a hassle. Please help me locate these files!

I'm using the almost up-to-date version of Android available on my device and the most recent version of Google Bulldoze and Samsung Files.

Thanks for the proposition, Dan. Unfortunately, the images practise not appear in whatsoever apps including Google Photos.
Keep in mind that I usually download these images directly from the Google results provided by the included Google widget in most Android devices. I have been able to view these images in one place, and that's in some sort of file viewer with a blueish user interface that pops up whenever I want to upload an image to imgflip. However, I cannot delete photos in this menu and it doesn't show upwards as a separate app.

If they are being saved in the phone so they WILL be occupying infinite in the phone. At that place'southward no 2 means virtually it.

Yous will find this "awarding" if yous go to imgflip.com/memegenerator, click "Upload from your device" and so select the "Files" choice. The icon should be a white folder in a blue circle. This application cannot exist found on my phone. I know that the images I download off Google are somehow saved on my telephone because they appear in this otherwise inaccessible app, but nowhere else.
If I empathise you correctly, I opened chrome and searched for "turkey" to keep things festive. I then tapped "images" in the search results and when i decided which epitome i wanted to download, i tapped information technology to bring it total screen. Then i long pressed the paradigm and selected "download image". Do I accept it right and then far? Once i select to download I am prompted with a filename and location.

The default location is the Downloads binder.

Open Photos and press the hamburger carte du jour in the upper left, or swipe the screen from the left to the right to open up upwards the menu. Choose device folders and yous should see your images. Thank you for the tips, but these images are not in my downloads binder. In fact, I never got the prompt to select my download location in the beginning place.
The images I download are only viewable one time subsequently clicking the notification. After that, I tin can never observe them again. I'll upload screenshots when I have the time.

You must long press on the image using Chrome, and the pick to download appears, saving it to your downloads folder.
I don't see whatever other option using this method
Just to ostend, are you using Chrome? A dissimilar browser? It actually is going to depend on how you access the images in the first identify.

I utilize Chrome and Puffin. The verbal same affair happens in both browsers. In neither do I go the selection to choose a download folder.

Correction: I employ the Google widget located on the abode screen.
I discovered that while using Chrome. I tin cull where to download the files. Using the Google app, I can't. Here are screenshots in the Chrome process vs the Google process.

(i) make sure the Google app has Storage permissions.
(2) remove the default rules for the Gallery app. Settings - Apps - Gallery - Prepare every bit default - Reset defaults.
